Q: Why is inverting a volumetric flask necessary in practicals?
-
Hi!
The broad answer to this is to achieve a homogenous solution, ie. thoroughly mixed.
Some potential specifics could be: to ensure chemicals of different densities mix, and to ensure nothing is stuck to the bottom of the flask. But the first sentence is really all you need to focus on. :)
