Title: Should we cut immigration to Australia for environmental reasons?

Hi all, I would like everyone's opinion regarding the topic: Should we cut immigration to Australia for environmental reasons?

No. Because Australia is not overpopulated but the world is. We need to be investing into better infrastructure and water supply and decentralising the population. But, more than that, we need to be paying attention to places in the world that are overpopulated, and make contraception and education more widely available. In developed nations the birth rate is really low and the more you give to impoverished individuals, the fewer children they have. And then we might be in a position to solve the world-wide resources problem.
