I'm not sure if I should study ahead (Year 10)

Hello Everyone.
I'm a year 10 who plans on taking Math Methods 1/2 next year. I consider myself pretty good with maths but I'm unsure if I'm ready to start studying ahead.
Could anyone tell me what I should do to prepare myself for units 1 and 2? Is there any key topics that I should make sure I nail down before I look at it?
Thank you

My advice is:
1. Make sure your algebraic skills are solid; conceptually, you should understand why something works the way it does
2. Ensure you can work well with fractions; this includes algebraic fractions, etc. If you are using the Year 10 Cambridge textbook, make sure you are attempting the questions towards the end of each exercise.
3. The Cambridge textbook does scaffold you nicely into Year 11 Methods, so before you think about starting on the Year 11 Methods textbook, definitely comb through your Year 10 book. You are doing the last few of each exercise, along with all the exercises labelled "10A"

Hope this helped! :)
