Hey all!! Have you guys got your appointments booked to check out our new VCE Centre?Okay, so I've actually seen this new centre and my first thoughts were basically, holy crap, I wish I had something like this for this year and wow, the view is pretty fkn amazing*. ^_^
It's going to be INCREDIBLE. I'm working from the new Centre right now and it's seriously just state-of-the-art. 400sqm big (which is huge), RIGHT NEXT to the State Library, I think it's going to seriously shake up the way people get tutoring for VCE.
Basically, our new program (feel free to ask questions) will:
- have 90 minute tutoring sessions every week at our City location
- have ever session recorded so you can watch it again
- be open to students after schools and on weekends, with the Centre always being fully staffed by roaming tutors (at no extra cost) to provide consistent guidance to all students.
- have it's own online learning system to host class notes, original practise exams and other super unique resources written specifically for ATAR Notes students.
- be cheaper than the average private tutor!!!!!!!!
This is just going to be an amazing place, even just to have AN meetups and chill etc... ridiculously exciting.
Obviously, if you ARE interested in the program, book a time to see the Centre and learn more about the benefits. Feel free to chuck your questions in this thread etc - I cannot wait to open this Centre :D
Two things:Probably all the subjects we have notes for + Further, but that's subject to demand and whatever else!
1. Holy shit this is awesome.
2. Is it known which VCE subjects will be offered at the Centre yet?
Oh Myyy this is amazing!Yeah, please feel free to drop in!! Maybe message first because we still aren't 100% in the new office yet and it would suck if no one were there!
Is it going to be for 3/4s only or 1/2s as well?
And oh myyyyyy can i randomly drop by and just say hi? :3
If you're worried that they're going to go down the drain a bit as AN gets more, uh, commercial - I promise you nothing will change except that they'll get bigger and better ;)
To be really honest with you - this is one of my concerns (more and more commercialisation). But in saying that I can understand it and hope the grass roots of AN isn't forgotten about. I really do hope it's a success though - a great centre with access to top notch people.. better $$ going to us than those purely for profits, I guess :)
Hey! This sounds awesome!
I'm a year 11 and I'm doing year 12 next year, although I've already finished exams and started my year 12 subjects this year. I was wondering how much it costs to come to the building and study?
Thanks! :)
Bump :)Oh, sorry! I should go back to the first page. Tutoring's anywhere between like $17-26 as an hourly rate, and doing one subject gives you access to absolutely everything. You should come down and check out the centre!

Fully agreed with the above, Jamon - but what I'm concerned about is possibly losing the community feel of AN, our closeness and the 'feel' that makes AN special. I LOVE the fact that we give out free help and answer people's questions, but even more, I love the fact that there's a sense of belonging and friendship and community and supportiveness shared humour and, I don't know, ATARNotesishness. :P
