im yr 11 doing polish 3/4 im wondering how high it gets scaled up this year, aproximatly like 4 or 5 or is it according to how everyone else goes :-\
-
It depends. Usually scores scale higher from the mean. That is to say, a 30 might go up to 35. However, if your score is much higher or lower is scales less. A 50 may not scale up at all, a 40 will still probably scale up, but probably not to a 45, etc.
Unless you know people who have done Polish, the most accurate indicator of scaling you can get is VTACs past scaling reports. Use the 2008 one (it's available on their website). It isn't the same every year but you shouldn't expect too much of a variation over time.

Czesc. I did it in 2007 and me and most of my mates got low-mid 30's. We all got scaled up by about 5.
my 33-->just under 38 (the scaling is always some weird non-integer, unlike the raw score)

Here is the link to the 2008 Scaling Report.
Basically, if you get:
30 34
35 38
40 43
45 46
50 50 (Doesn't change).
