Title: Advice for German native speakers
Post by: stu0007 on July 20, 2019, 12:12:08 pm
I have grown up as a relatively fluent German speaker as I grew up with my Dad speaking German with me pretty much all the time. I'm doing year 12 German right now, and hoping to do really well, but I'm really struggling with some of the grammar. I often get things right simply because I say what sounds right in my head, just as I would in English, but none of the rules make sense and I do sometimes get things wrong.
For example cases such as dative and accusative make zero sense.
My teacher explained something about prepositions but I don't even know what that means.
Can anyone help?
