Title: Jap Listening Pack
Post by: IntoTheNewWorld on November 03, 2009, 11:28:27 pm
2 weeks to go till Written Exam D:

Dreading the listening section of the exam? fear no longer!

Raku Raku Listening - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B4UB0XTU
88 listening exercises with solutions. Speed is slightly slower than VCAA

JLTAV Listening from 2001 - 2008 - http://www.box.net/shared/q88uxi07ay
Collection of all the listening files from the JLTAV Morning thingys. No questions or solutions though.

edit: well, megaupload kind of died. I'll reupload to something else when I get time

Raku Raku Listening Archive is available from here. If someone knows how to save all of this into some sort of downloadable file please do so and re-share for future students :)

I have the folder for anyone who needs it. (200MB)
GOOGLE DRIVE LINK: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1bXVVXtH01dwZmBGt_aH_jL1dIzRPXLKL

Just use winrar or other zip software to extract.
Put the folder in documents or wherever you want.

Navigate to vcejaplisex --> indexfiles --> index.htm to access the Home Page
This will open your default browser to use as the platform for the Listening Practices

From the home page there are many different links you can click on.
You can try these at anytime to improve your skills.

FOR LISTENING PRACTICE:
Click on the topic that you want to do the listening practice on.
E.g. The Changing World, The Individual, The Japanese-Speaking Communities
OR
Keep scrolling down on the Home Page (index.htm) and you will see all of the Listening Practices in their respective topics.
When you click on one on the tasks under task number, e.g. task 1, it will take you to that listening task screen.

From there:
You can see the questions asked.
Press the large audio speaker picture/icon then it will bring you to the mp3 file (you can open this in another window by right clicking)

If you want the folder of the mp3 listening files:
Navigate to vcejaplisex --> soundfiles --> any of the 3 folders
These folders are the 3 different topics (The Changing World, The Individual, The Japanese-Speaking Communities) which contain the mp3 files

You can scroll down to see the Vocab used in the text
You can see the script of the text.
You can also see a sample answer to mark your own answers.

You can always press the HOME button at the bottom if you don't know where to navigate.
(This will bring you back to index.htm)

There are 88 Listening Tasks in total.

Extras (on the Home Page):
There is also
Number & Time Expressions
かたかな Dictation Practice
Informal Expressions & Honorific Expressions
Challenging Japanese Pronunciations

Hope that help clears up anything confusing
Good Luck!
