Title: VCE 2020 Algorithmics exam
Post by: OutrunQwerty5 on September 17, 2020, 06:59:18 pm
Hello, I am new to atar notes here,

I am taking VCE Algorithmics 3/4 (HESS) as a Year 11 student at my school. It is the first year the school is running the subject. I wanted to ask other students who have done or are doing the subject for any tips for the exam or the subject in general.

Hey,

Welcome to the forums OutrunQwerty5, I didn't study algorithmics so I can't really give advice specifically on that but more generic advice for studying a 3/4 in year 11:

- make sure you check the study design regularly (including before assessments) and become very familiar with it throughout the year
- keep balance in there. Yes, studying is beneficial but you don't need to spend 100% of your free time on it
- year 11 is a good time to experiment with different study techniques and approaches; don't be afraid to test out a few different approaches
- consistent study is much more effective and less stressful than just cramming in the end

Good luck and I hope someone who actually studied algo is able to help out.
