Title: Can I redeem myself in the French written exam and do well?
Post by: alexandrasymons on November 20, 2020, 04:21:35 am
Hiii im currently doing 3/4 French,
I moved schools in the middle of the year and ended up behind in all of my subjects.
My sac scores are between 60% and 95%.
I did the oral exam a few weeks ago and completely messed up. The total marks for the exam is 40, to be completely honest I think I would have gotten around a 5/40 (really wasn't a good time lol).

I was wondering if it was still possible to do well in the subject (35-40?).

I know that's going to be a lot of hard work and the exam is in 10 days. I just feel like because I've finished all my other exams I can pay full attention to this one, I started studying 4 days ago, going over subtopics, text types and grammar, and then started doing full length practice exams. I have done 7 practice exams in the 4 days and have sent them to my teacher for correcting.
Also please don't hate, I know I should have started studying earlier but I've had a lot of family problems and just moved into my new house.
I guess I just wanted a bit of hope that it is still possible to do well and I'm not wasting my time! :) :)

You're definitely not wasting your time. I don't know anything about French, but what I do know is that if you study hard for it, your mark will reflect that. I don't know if you can get the marks you want, but I do know that even if you don't, you can get a deal closer by working hard. If you do your best, even if you don't get the marks you wanted, you'll be able to walk away knowing that you tried as hard as you could given your situation.
Keep on going! :)
