Title: UMEP Eligibility Requirements
Post by: nayano10 on June 01, 2022, 07:35:56 pm
Hello all,

I intend to apply for the UMEP Physics next year and I have a question about the eligibility requirements. It says that a 37 study score in Physics and at least an A average in Methods 1 & 2 is required. However, could a study score substantially greater than 37 (say 45 raw) compensate for a B+ in Methods? Namely, would you say that they are lenient with respect to the eligibility requirements?
Thanks in advance.

Hey,

I did UMEP maths last year and they required a 37+ in methods and B+ average across all your subjects. However, one of my friends got fairly high methods score (42) and a D+ or something in English 1/2 but still made it in so I think UoM prioritises your physics study score more than your 1/2 grades. I also had like a D+ in Chinese 1/2 and they didn't seem to care.

It's still only semester 1 though, so there's still time to push that methods score up!

Hope this helps :)
