Desktop publishing is the use of the computer and software to create visual displays of ideas and information.

The VCE VET Desktop Publishing and Printing program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills that will enhance their employment prospects in the Printing and Graphic Arts industries.

It's actually an industry term, I've learnt about it in IT and Multimedia... so I don't think that'll be happening, even if it is a bit ambiguous. :P
