Indo - no way.
Dutch - very cool. Just sounds like German but with a bit of a cheerful lilt.
Jap, Mandarin - I find character languages completely confusing. Don't ask me.
Spanish is very you. Go for that. You'd love South America too!
Yiddish is totally awesome but not very useful. Especially as it's a mixture of two languages that I'm familiar with!

Yup, german 3/4.. going to be studying like a gun these holidays.

Wir sollen nur auf Deutsch schreiben!

What are you doing to study? I have no idea what to do! :/
-
Practise your grammar.
Start a vocabulary book - read German news etc. and write down any interesting vocab you come across. Read through the vocab every night before you go to bed. It's important to have a wide vocabulary

Thanks for the advice ninwa! :D

Also listen to Deutsche Welle's Langsam Gesprochene Nachrichten podcast (through itunes is easiest) as often as possible.

I'll do that, thanks for the advice!
Well done on all your scores too btw!
How did you manage a 50 in German!? That's awesome!
:)

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised myself!
Work together - you'll notice another Scotch guy got 49 in German; I think I'd be safe in saying that neither of us would have done so well without each other; and the whole class worked incredibly well as a team (for example about 8 of us came to my place in September and we ran practice oral exams for each other which was really good, I thought) and most of them ended up with low 40s / high 30s. I also went on a 10 week exchange to Detuschland and had two awesome host brothers and a host family which helped a lot with my German. However, nothing is more accurate than "übung macht den Meister!" :)

Well, when I come back (because i'm actually overseas atm), I will hopefully learn 100+ words before school begins and hopefully find some useful grammar notes on the net because half the time grammar is rushed so you don't have much of a background on it

guess im in too xD

phill8, besuchst du Mill Park SC? Bis der 8. Klasse war sie auch meine Schule.
