Doing French

In a nutshell, my teacher has recommended me to take up French again for Units 3&4 (Been studying from Year 7-Year 10, dropped it for Year 11).
I am partially good at French and such, and am willing to stick in all my time, effort but I can't help but feel intimidated by all the fantastically fluent french people (the ones who learnt it as a second language).

Is it possible to do be well-versed and fluent (to an extent), by the start of Term 1?

Go on exchange over the summer. You will be fluent by term 1. Otherwise no.
