2nd Business Management SAC on Tuesday! - Have a few questions! :)

I am pretty comfortable with everything so far apart from the following couple of things:

1.   What are the benefits of a suitable structure?
2.   Contrast and Distinguish between a manager and a leader. (how would you answer that question well? what would you say?)
3.   Concepts of vertical and horizontal specialisation.
4.   Corporate qualities – define significance.

If you are able to help me with any of those questions that would be great ! thanks !

1. benefits include:
- enhanced and more effective communication flows within the organisation
- better task management and resource allocation
- work duplication can be minimised
- promotes a positive corporate culture (depends on organisation)

2. stupid question.
any manager that isnt a leader isnt in the right job...

3. vertical or rigid structures often indicate the company is very traditional. this means that communication is top-down where the management above you makes all decisions, and you comply. whereas horizontal is a more modern approach where comunication flows in many directions and employee roles are less defined.
