Hi everyone!

I don't expect a heap of replies to this thread, since there are hardly any Latin students on AN.

But with less than three months to go before the exam (!), how are you all planning to prepare/study for it?

I can't exactly remember what I was doing this early, but last year maybe a month or so out, I had pretty much remembered the whole translation of the Aeneid, and was working through remembering/identifying literary devices. Also, making sure that your ability of unseens is up to scratch, imo this is probably THE biggest differentiator of the top students from simply above average/good students.

So at this stage keep working through the Aeneid as you normally are, but make sure you're doing unseens, (at least 1 a week) to make sure you'll be ready for obscure constructions in the exam
2011: Accounting, Latin
2012: Methods, Chem, Specialist, English, Business Management

Ahh I see. Thanks Somye!

Do you have any advice on how to write a good essay? I've been doing a few of them in class in preparation for the SAC, and I usually either have a good analysis but not enough content, or vice versa. It's very annoying...
