Future Perfect with modals

How is it done? For example, "Ich werde dort gefahren haben" means "I will have gone there", and "Ich habe dort fahren wollen" means "I have wanted to go there". But how do you say "I will have wanted to go there?"

Thanks, but why is werden in that twice?

That's how it works. Future with modals has 4 verbs - so annoying. It's supposed to be uni German, so it's complex haha. And no - me putting two different forms of 'werden' is not a mistake.

Dammit, I'll be staying away from this stuff then. All other sentence constructions have made sense so far, but this is just weird. Thanks again, I was just curious about longer sentences, but I think I'll just pretend they don't exist  :)

Have they taught you Konjunktiv yet?

Don't worry no german ever uses this form, I don't even know why it exists. Srly, even in context a sentence like "I will have wanted to go there?" doesn't make sense in both german or english.

I mean how can you say that in the future you'll be finished with wanting to go somewhere?

You're predicting your reaction to the past...I guess????

Futur II (vollendete Zukunft)
pretty much means a finished action in the future. So in like "In 7 months I will be finished with Year 12" that would mean "In 7 Monaten werde ich die zwölfte Klasse abgeschlossen haben"

But in the case of wanting it just doesn't make sense to me ~_~

We've been taught Subjunctive, I think they are the same? It makes much more sense than this stuff, because word order stays the same (at least I think it does lol), and we pretty much were told only to bother with würde, hätte, and wäre.

Maybe not "I will have wanted to go there", but I think we all use "I would have wanted (liked? idk) to go there" quite a lot.

Yeah, but then that is not future anymore. Since it is something that has been in the past.
So "I would have loved to go there" would be like "I wäre gerne dorthin gegangen"
That is in this case konjunktiv II

Ah, my bad, I think I get it now. I thought that you could just replace werde with würde, without the tense changing. Thanks!
