MUEP Chemistry

Hey has anyone here done MUEP Chem? How difficult would it be to do it whilst doing 3/4 chemistry?

I'm considering doing it as a 7th subject next year (or maybe as a 6th instead of physics). Would this be a good idea?

Certainly go for it if you get into the chemistry summer school. You'll effectively cover pretty much of all of first year uni chem at the summer school so it'll be so much easier.

Thanks, has anyone had Dr Chris Commons as a lecturer before (teaches at Scotch)? I've been recommended to attend his classes next year for MUEP chem by his wife lol, and although I hear he is good I'd like a second opinion.

As a 7th subject? Hahahaha, I wish you luck in getting that approved by Ludo. He will even be quite hesitant to let you do it as your 6th subject.

you sure seem knowledgable about internal MHS affairs for a non-MHS ;)

but yeah, true. If my parents send him a letter he'll probably yield, but worst comes to worst I'll just take it as a 6th.

Even so. I have heard it is doubtful.

And you seem quite ignorant of internal MHS affairs for a MHS person.

Also "send him a letter"? Good Luck with that.

Parents are quite convincing. And who have you heard this from your "fellow" macrobs or from ur mhs friends? :P
There's no point debating this now, we will find out by the end of this year.

Guys, it's easy to apply for an extension program at MHS. A notice gets handed out around exam time encouraging high achieving year 12s to apply. All you have to do is write a short letter to Mr. Ludowyke (mine was like 200 words) to get the school's approval. And I'm pretty sure you can do 5 subjects + uni extension in year 12, because they make you enrol in 5 3/4s and it's up to you to request dropping one.
