A friend told me that if you do more than three lotes only three are counted in the atar and only two can be counted in the top four. Does anyone know if this is true? :) thank you!

Thanks :) Yes, I actually found out yesterday that it was true. I think it's quite unfair, really :P

Well it's the same rule for all subjects running along the same vein - you can only have 2 of specialist, methods and further maths in your top 4, and you can also only have 2 of literature, english and english language in your top 4 as well.
Fight me.

Except that they count all of the sciences :P I agree that they are different and variable, but I consider languages are too.

I'm doing Japanese and Chinese as my LOTE subjects. Does that mean Japanese and Chinese both have a chance of being in the top 4 subjects? Or does one of them HAVE to be put in the bottom 2 subjects? Regardless of how well I did in either. I just heard about this somewhere a few days ago and I'm freaking out since they're my 'best' subjects and I'm scared one of them is going to go to waste
2014: Biology, Chinese SL
2015: Business management, English, Japanese SL, Methods
Atar aim: 95~98

You can definitely have two LOTEs in your top 4.
