Just wondering if it has a whole lot of letters or comments then would I just address them in a separate paragraph all together and say like 3 are in support while 5 are against positing the readers to note the scope of the issue and the varied view within the community denoting that it may be a controversial issue with a wide audience.  and then maybe discuss some similarities that strengthen the writers piece but others that may undermine

or would it be better to intertwine some relevant comments within the writers argument as a methods used to increase persuasion?

which one would be stronger in essence?
