Scaling/Scoring for Extended Investigation???

I am so confused in whether this subject is an actual subject because it didn't appear on the 2013 subject scaling list. Hear me out first. I remember reading on the forum that it was scored through increments and was treated like a university subject. But then, apparently the subject was trialled last year and is going to become an official subject this year (I'm taking it on next year). So my question is, for those who have done the subject last year, how did VCAA score the subject for you guys and if it was scored like any other VCE subjects, was it scaled at all? Or did the subject not get scored accordingly - because it was being trialled that year you were doing it?

This is an actual subject!
Last year was a trial year,  so those that did the subject got 10% of the average of their other marks as their result (so it had to be like a 5th or 6th subject). This year however is the first year it has been a proper subject, so those that completed it (like me!) will have it marked like any other VCE subject, and then it will be scaled. We don't know the amount of scaling it is subject to yet because it is this first year, but hopefully it goes up (lots).

Aha thanks for the reply! Hope you did awesomely as the results just came out today! (so... congratulations everyone! yayayay)

Just saw the scaling report 2014 and the Ext. Investigation's scaling is actually pretty good! (scaled by 3)! Hopefully next year it will stay the same (maybe even more like latin!! lol getting a bit greedy and a tad impossible there) But anyway have a nice and well-rested holiday Alice and to everyone reading this post!
