"In the modern world it has become increasingly difficult to trust the concept of reality."

Individuals realties are becoming increasingly more prone to manipulation by those in power through the use of media in order to 'manufacture consent'. Read more below

In today's day and age, individuals can access an almost limitless vault of data with the simple click of a button on the web. It would seem as if to us that the technology age has bestowed upon us a gift of information which is only growing but in truth you would be dead wrong to think that. We are but being fed what the powerful want us to believe acting like an empty shell waiting to be filled with an 'artificial identity'.

Who do you ask these 'powerful' figures are? The media, the oligopolies that control everything that we read and see, whether it be from the television screens to the newspapers delivered to our doors, it's all controlled and regulated.

It was only several years ago that the disastrous event of 9/11 took place, a terrorist attack of magnitude that the world had never experienced before. The media of course was there to lap up the oozing misery of all whom was involved to be displayed for everyone to witness and experience. To most this was time of mourning and reconciliation however the US government saw this as an opportunity to assert their dominance on the world whilst securing the future for the powerful. The war on terror that Bush so confidently spoke to the world was in fact a ploy to secure a continuous and stable influx of black gold, the substance that quiet literally runs the world

The media bombarded American households on the threat of an 'organized' group known as Al-Qaeda, tent on the destruction of our liberty and freedom. By invoking fear into the hearts of the American citizens, it became clear that in order for our national security and integrity to remain intact we would need this war. It is only becoming clear now that Al-Qaeda was in fact a group of dysfunctional quixotic individuals who posed little threat to democracy and virtually did not exist. An obvious consequence of lying to an entire nation would be the destruction of the credit ability of the government and media...

..at least that is what should've happened right?

The reality was however that thanks to the vast degree of power that a minute amount of 'influential' people possessed they were able to cling onto their foundations of hierarchy through their extensive control of the media and the output of particular types of information that suites their claims. This degree of corruption that I speak of as of right now is no exaggeration, it's to the point that while you're even reading this article you've already received subjective information manipulated by the US government.

After thinking about it, you couldn't even tell if the information I'm conveying to you right now is a mass of gibberish by a deranged individual, how can you even  begin to tell from truth and fiction...?

Democracy, authenticity, integrity, it seems to me as if these so called 'key' aspects of society are just nostalgic dreams that can not bear fruit in our society. Was it not the governments goal to supply us with the best factual information possible, to enable us to control the political process. Rather it's become a board game for those in power or should I say media 'cartels' to manufacture consent for the sole reason that they have specific agendas to control the masses in order to benefit themselves.

How can we even be shocked by our 'leaders' creating false realities to achieve what they desire. It was only a decade ago that our presidential figure created the Albanian war for the sole purpose of hiding his pitiful assault crimes in a desperate attempt to cling onto power. We think to ourselves now in disgust and shame on how we could have allowed ourselves to believe in the credit ability of war without gathering our own facts but the reason was simple...

Patriotism.

With our beloved media presenting to us Shoeman, a war hero trapped in enemy lines in Albania what else can a proper citizen of America do than accept the norm of society? Ignore our countrymen in need of our support and be shun by the people as an apathetic individual, of course not! With our pride and patriotism at a maximum, our representatives were able soak up their undeserved credit and bask in the glory they manufactured. In key though, the sole purpose was to allude attention away from the ongoing investigation into the chargers against the president.

The human psychology of desiring information leaves us in state that is us unable to achieve true objectivity. With this vulnerability, those that have the agenda and the capabilities to change our realities WILL take action regardless of the consequences of integrity to benefit themselves. The vast spectrum of reality that we can't see slowly becomes forgotten, leaving an empty shell that can only create realities spoon fed to them, obliterating individual subjectivity.

"It is only becoming clear now that Al-Qaeda was in fact a group of dysfunctional quixotic individuals who posed little threat to democracy" - Yes, but they still committed 9/11, didn't they? I think a slightly different line of argument/evidence might be required here, to prove US' ulterior motives

"credit ability" - credibility
"suites" - suits
"it's to the point that while you're even reading this article you've already received subjective information manipulated by the US government" - what information? how is it subjective? you can't just tack on 'subjective' and claim that it fits any prompt which has 'subjective' in it
"After thinking about it, you couldn't even tell if the information I'm conveying to you right now is a mass of gibberish by a deranged individual, how can you even  begin to tell from truth and fiction...?" - this only works for a piece which is an actual mass of gibberish, like the piece you 'borrowed' this idea from; yours is well-articulated and logical, so it doesn't fit in. i'd say remove it.

Overall, good points made and nice variation in structure (paragraph sizes, ellipses etc.) - 9/10 if you fix up those little errors
