Is it ok to do both 3/4 methods and 3/4 specialist in year 12?

So I'm currently in year 9 and I wanted to ask if it's too burdening to complete both 3/4 maths subjects in year 12. Most people that I know who are doing/have done specialist had already completed methods 3/4 in year 11 and since my school doesn't allow me to start methods next year, would it be just better for me to not do specialist at all?

So your post contradicts the title a bit - I will assume you mean doing both 3/4 maths in year 12.

I don't think there is much of a problem plenty of people do both in the same year and still do well- sure there is an overlap and there are some things that you may need to know from methods to continue on specialist but your teachers also know this so they usually do their best so no one is impeded. In general Methods 1/2 is probably enough of a pre-requisite for both Methods3/4 and Specialist 3/4.
