Identifying Arguments for section C

Hello,

In argument analysis, I find I have no trouble with high-level analysis of individual phrases and techniques, but I really struggle with splitting up the piece into 3-4 distinct arguments.  I have been told by English teachers to focus each paragraph on a single argument chronologically, but I always feel that there are many different angles and appeals scattered throughout the piece, rather than discrete sections where the author is only focusing on a single argument.

Could anyone please offer some advice on how to identify and split up arguments in an AA essay?
