Cisco CCNA Units 1+2 (VET course)

Anyone have any idea how the Cisco CCNA Units 1+2 counts towards the ENTER score? I did it in 2005, and got told that it would count towards my ENTER score (somehow). I heard that some 10% increment is involved, but still have no clue how it works. Does it count as one of my 10% increments (5th and 6th subjects), or is it counted entirely separately?

I've got a feeling I did too many subjects (5 this year, 1 last year, and the Cisco course in 2005) :P

Students who receive a Unit 3?4 sequence (for either UTENES106AA or UTENES206AA) will be eligible for a 10% increment towards their ENTER (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).

Students who receive two Unit 3?4 sequences (for both UTENES106AA and UTENES206AA) will be eligible for two 10% increments towards their VCE (10% of the average of the primary four scaled studies).

I wish my school offered the CCNA - I ended up doing VCE VET Info Tech: Network Administration - which gave me a Cert III (basically a cereal box qualification - only useful for TAFE pathways, not employment). I'm doing my CCNA and MCSE outside of school (self-taught).

Thanks for that :)
But is that 10% increment in addition to my other subjects?
I mean, for the ENTER score, do I get my top 4 and 10% of the 5th and 6th (like usual), and the Cisco increments in addition? Or do the Cisco courses count as the 5th and 6th subjects?

I wish my school offered the CCNA

The year that I did it was the last year it was offered at my school - We barely had enough people to run the class. I was going to do Units 3 and 4, but not enough people picked it.

Would that be the same for people doing VET Clothing? (they don't have an exam or anything)
This is for my friend by the way lol

no, i think Cisco CCNA is special

some VET courses don't count towards ENTER, but do count as a 3/4 sequence [towards the total of 16 units to complete VCE]

Sorry to bring a very old thread back to life, but just wondering what the outcome was with completing the CCNA (1+2), did you only get a maximum of two 10% increments (one of the average of your primary 4, and the other the 10% of your 5th ranking subject), or did you recieve credit for all the subjects you completed?

I'm thinking methods will be my bad subject, so I guess it won't be too bad if it doesn't get counted, but just wondering if i would still get credit for it?

Thanks,

Hopefully I'll get a reply!!

Sorry for taking ages to reply :P
And yeah, I just got two 10% increments. If you look in my signature, I did Chemistry, but it didn't count towards my ENTER.
