An old translation

I found this in my mathematics textbook... they were cruel enough to leave it unstranslated. I 'think' it's in german, since it has some German words and Euler spoke German, but so far babel fish has failed with many of the words. Could someone help translate it please?

I don't speak german, so hopefully someone who does will reply, but i think it is german and it looks like this to me:

es giebt (gibt?) also sehr viel verschiedene Arten von Größen,
welche sich nicht wohl herzehlen (erzählen?) laßen;
und daher entstehen die verschiedene Theile der Mathematic,
deren eine jegliche mit einer besondern Art von Größen beschäftiget ist.

which cannot be described very well
and that's why different parts of mathematics arise,
of which each is occupied with its particular kind of quantity.

is he talking about infinity and zero and stuff?

i really don’t. I can say a few tourist phrases like ‘ein beer bitte’ and ‘Entschuldigen Sie, wo kann mann essen und schlafen?’, but that’s it.
I do have a couple of good dictionaries though, and i puzzled it out with those. My german friend checked it and corrected the translation of the sich...laßen, which i wouldn't have got.
