http://gregmankiw.blogspot.com/

He's an economist at Harvard, and has authored and co-authored many books on (micro)economics.

This resource is specifically tailored for VCE Economics

http://www.economics.unimelb.edu.au/SITE/TLdevelopment/econochat/econochat1.shtml

Out of all the resources, this is probably the best one for VCE Economics students.

Current news is pretty vital knowledge for the exam alongside the theory. Just keep up with the news and read a few websites (the Mr. Wood one is pretty good). Save important things (like the budget, the RBAs Monetary Policy statements, changes to Workplace Relations, etc.). You may feel a bit lost at first, but it will all come together perfectly by the end of the year if you're consistent with your approach to economics.
