MUEP Chem vs MUEP Maths? Which To Do?

Hey guys, I'm tossing up my options for next year, and I dunno which I should choose...

Advantage of Maths
 - I'm stronger in Maths

Disadvantage of Maths
 - Nowhere is close, hence I'd have to do it by Distance Ed

Advantage of Chem
 - Its held at my school

Disadvantage of Chem
 - I'm not as strong in Chem as I am in Maths

So what should I do? As far as time, Chem suits better, but I much prefer learning maths, and find it conceptually a lot easier to understand, but I worry I won't be able to cope without contact hours, and whether I can leave complete faith in my methods/spesh teachers to help...

UMAT: 69 | 56 | 82 | = [69 / 98th Percentile]
2012: MBBS I @ Monash

I think chem, you might want to take on a challenge for yourself. I'm sure you'll do fine, besides, should'nt it hep with VCE chem anyways?

With Maths, you can just focus on the ones you have and then nail the exams.
Ancient Persian Proverb; " I Wept because i had no Shoes, until i saw a man with no feet!"

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Chem
- Since you aren't as strong as chem as maths, you'll become perhaps even better at normal chem due to the similarities between chem&uni chem, making normal chem soooo much easier, potentially making it your best subject
- Held at your school makes it even better.

I'm doing maths via distance, I can't compare it to chem for you, but I can say that maths is achievable (on your own) with consistent work.

At the start of the year I got to ask my teacher at school for help when I needed it (more often than later on). but now the teachers can't help me since they don't remember most of the stuff. It's a matter of going through the guide that you get and just doing the questions and making sure you understand most of it (I say most because a lot of it is stuff you don't really need to know (like potential applications in the real world).

At first I was able to email people at Monash for assistance but I no longer get replies from the main guy (maybe he got busy or pissed off with my questions)

All up, maths is worth doing even if you have to do it via distance. The exams IMO are easier  than VCAA because they are not looking to trick you like VCAA.

MUEP chem = like 1/3 related to vce.... and more workload.... MUEP maths = 2/3 related and less workload...

take into mind what uni subject u wanna do in the future... so u can transfer credits....

but maths... since it easy

(ive done it before)
