Latin Roll Call 2011

This could well be the most non-active thread, I'll ever make, since hardly anyone on VN does Latin.

In any case, I for one am. I know the.watchman (we go to the same school) and werdna are as well. I'm looking to get above 30 raw - I'd be happy with 32~33, which scales to high 40's. Just post what you're aiming for in Latin and I'll add you. I'll regret making this thread, if no one replies to this thread/or if only 3 people on VN are doing Latin in 2011.

Yeah, I'm doing Latin. Aiming for 35 (I know, close to impossible >_<) but I'd probably be happy with 32+.

Thanks for making this thread EPL - I'm aiming for a 30 too! The thought of a 30 scaling to a 47 motivates me somehow.

@ellecee, what are you aiming to get for Latin?

I realised that this year, the scaling increased from +16 to +17 - which means if a student got 30 raw for Latin, that would be scaled up to 47. If you get 35, it scales up to 50. If you get 40 then that scales up to 53. The highest score you can get for Latin is 55 (scaled).

I don't think it scales as much when you get <10 so...I think you might need to do some study. =)

If were to get below 10 for Latin, why do it in the first place?.. students must have some capability if they're doing Latin. 30 is the median score, though in saying that, it's not easy getting 30 raw for a LOTE like Latin. Anything above 30 raw for Latin is pretty good. 40+ is exceptionally good.

Oh... right... I'll put down 30+ conservatively then. 47 raw is insane, only 1 person in the state got 47 raw for Latin this year... you may well be that one person come next year! LOL. =D
