HELP: MUEP Maths or Chemistry?

Hi guys, I've submitted applications for both of these extension studies, as I really couldn't decide which one of them I would rather do.  :o

I did two 3/4 subjects this year and got 41+ SS raw for both.
My results for my 1/2 subjects were A+ for all my subjects, except an A overall in Chemistry in Semester 1.
I'm studying Methods, EngLang, Specialist and Chemistry next year - and wanting to study Commerce/Pharm in 2012....

So hypothetically speaking, if Monash was to offer me the choice of one of the two - which one would you recommend and why?  :)

Really it's up to you, but i dunno  if you wanna look at this from a 'how to increase your atar" perspective seeing as you seem to enjoy both chem and maths and would be equally happy taking either as a enhancement studies, you could argue that doing muep maths would potentially help both methods AND spech, methods which scales the same as chem and spech which scales more, whereas doing uni chem only helps one vce subject.....

Just a thought.....

PS: Maths is awesome anyway, so just do muep maths regardless :P

If you did chemistry for MUEP then went into pharmacy/commerce at Monash, you'd be able to get credit for two chemistry units in semester one; year one: PAC1121 Organic chemistry & PAC1211 Physicochemical basis of pharmacy. Even though your workload is reduced for one semester (pro), your timetable might have lots of gaps and you might get "uni shock" in second semester (con).

I did MUEP maths and found it quite enjoyable. It's really up to you. Maths is mainly just tutorials, but I think in chemistry you get a few practicals thrown in.
