I did VET Digital Media last year (that's what they call Multimedia now, apparently), went pretty well, but watch out for the scaling.

My raw score of 46 got scaled down to 44, which is by far the worst I've ever seen, so aim as high as you can

Good luck to all you new students!
I would recommend having a good final presentation as well as folio. The folio doesn't have to be very big, but it sure helps teachers understand what you did and why. It's easy to score in SACs, so try nail as many points as you can throughout the year; the end of year exam, IMO, is frankly bullshit because it's theory-based, and we don't have a textbook to study from. But if you retain all the skills with Flash, Photoshop or whatever you did in the year, it should be very useful when answering the 40 mark question at the end.
(The exam is out of 90 marks, on the computer, 50 for Short Answer, which is Section A and B, and Section C is the 40 mark, 20-step questions which in our year was a short Flash animation advertisement for a website.)
Also, if anyone has a folio they are very proud of, please submit it to Top Designs

A free exhibition where your work will be admired by many people, and you'll have a chance to meet all the other great student designs across the state!
