The examiner's report last yr said that many people were unsure of what a personal profile was...and yet they didn't bother clarify this confusion and actually tell us what it is.
anyone know?
study guide says headings/sub-headings....but that's not much of a guide...

This is for French, but i'm pretty sure that it'll be the same format.

I quote: "General identifiable features of a personal profile: title/topic; body (content); register; style; signature; layout. A personal profile may be informal or formal, according to the context. A formal profile should contain only factual information."

Example task: You are applying to undertake a student exhange in France. As part of your application, you are asked to write a personal profile.

You should include these headings:

- Name and Age
- School and year level
- Residence and family
- Activities at school
- Interests/leisure activities
- Favourite places
- Conclusion/prospects
- Contact details
- Signature

I guess it's basically just your details but in relation to whatever context given. Personally I wouldn't go for a personal profile, I find that it's quite limitting.

I hope this helps!
