Welcome!

I'm your resident Business Studies Moderator (overseeing the activities in the Accounting, Economics, Business Management and Legal Studies sub-forums).
If you have any questions regarding any of these subjects please feel free to post a new topic in your respective subject.

I'd like to know what sort of information you guys want available on these boards. Would you like "How to get great marks" sorta guides for each subject? Or would you like other sorts of information?

Just let me know as it will help me organise these boards better, allowing me to see what information should be stickied and what should now.

How to get great marks is a great idea. Also you may want to consider 'How to prepare for a business exam etc etc.

i'm sure it will help alot of people including myself.

cheers.

Odette.

Firstly, congratulations on the new position :)

Secondly.... just a few suggestions...

-A proper thread for examples
-A thread explaining key topics
-A thread for frequently asked questions
-A thread about common mistakes and how to avoid them
-A thread about resources for business students... [relevant to the course]

I could help with any of them if you need it! :)

Edit: Those suggestions were aimed at Business Management, however I think they could be used for other subjects :)

A guide to writing answers definitely. My business knowledge isn't that great at all, but my skill in wording answers got me through business subjects and I'd say this is perhaps the most important skill that needs to be developed if you wish to do well, especially since it isn't directly taught in textbooks or anywhere really.

Ok, over the last few days I have been implementing some changes in the Business Studies boards.

1. Some things have been stickied and unsticked
2. BusMan now has an "ultimate guide to success" - stickied at the top
3 All subjects (except Eco) now have stickied threads which link to the notes available for downloa

Still to come
1. An "ultimate guide to success" for Accounting - written by a very high achieving student (name TBA)
2. More resources
