...Monash release their results on the 17th lol.
I just want to see a show of hands lol. It's really pissing me off LOL
-
What's the deadline for UoM transfer form thing?
I'm pretty sure that shouldn't prevent you from supplying the results at a later date. As with every related uni matters, ring 'em up to make sure.

13th. I rang em and said "bitch stay in monash for the full year" basically lol
-
Ah, that's pretty shit. I'd be pissed off too.
Have you tried asking Monash if there's a way you can get your results 4 or more days earlier? :\
It doesn't sound promising but give it a go I guess?

if procedures don't work for you, look for people who have the authority to bend procedures. :) [try contacting admissions coordinator? department manager? deputy dean? dean? pro-vice chancellor?]

Mao is clearly experienced at doing dodgy stuffs

AppleXY - in the job market today, your degree really is only a minor part of being successful at graduate recruitment. Gets you past screening, and that's about it.
That being said, some universities do have bad reputations for certain disciplines. I don't recall Monash being 'bad' for Accounting/Finance though...
It's what's in your brain and how you perform in your interviews that matter more. You don't necessarily need to go to a reputable University to gain this knowledge - you can even teach yourself.
-
AppleXY they extended th date to 17 June apparently to accommodate Monash Uni's applicants. Check the website.
I too am trying to get in BSc MelbU from Eng Monash.
-
yeah dw, I applied ages ago for it :)

Knowing quite a few recruiters myself I can tell you for a fact you can be doing the hardest subjects and have the most brilliant marks. But may fail to get a job simply because you are too academically focused! Studies to get you into their sight. After you pass the line they're not too fussed regarding studies. Other things start to be taken into consideration! But good luck!
BTW Put your hand up if you got shred by BTF1010 today? *Puts hand up*

god damn BTF1010 was a beast.
For the expresso machine question, did you put the goods act or none of the above? I put the goods act :(
I totally missed the last question :( Damn lost 13.3 marks right there.
lol
-
espresso machine question was hard!
i think i got it wrong , or at least my reasoning was wrong.
i said it cant be TPA because the espresso machine is to be used in production ? (wrong ye?) but i did also read that small businesses that purchase goods under 40k are considered consumers. (i was confused)
anyway i said its not goods act cause they have exemption clause.
and therefore i said none.
i was gonna say fair trading act but didnt... meh.
in all i thought the exam was ok.
-
TPA covers goods ordinarily used for personal, household and domestic use or if under $40 000 ss4B(1)(a);4B(1)(b) - classed as consumer contracts
So you could somehow argue that TPA covers it because its a expresso machine (and thus can't exclude provisions in the TPA) or if it is a industrial expresso machine it is under $40 000 so you may only exclude some liability - see s68/68A
Not really sure if that is at all useful - we have to know it for contract law
-
Aw it doesnt matter now. What's done is done.
It's just a bit confusing when it comes to what is used in production process.

dw im staying at monash
my average is gonna be shithole lol
-
Monash is good. :)
Can't wait to start specialising properly!!! Sick of these introductory subjects! Boring!
-
Ha ha... I remember my Business Law exam last semester.
I fked it up entirely as well.
Did the same thing as Prav, but worse.
I left TWO questions almost entirely blank (about 20 marks).
And you know what?
I ended up getting a high-end Credit.
I was so shocked... everything I wrote must've been correct, because that's the only thing that would explain passing that exam, and therefore passing that unit.
Unless the tutor was drunk when they marked it and just decided to tick a whole bunch of stuff... that would explain a lot actually... :-X ;D
-
lol. I got stooged fair hard. as well. coffee machine i think should be none but i accidently put C only realised it half way through. it was a consumer contract though cause it wasn't directly being used up in the transformation of goods. Also got stooged by the audit and last question. Couldn't write enough. only wrote like 2ish pages >> GEE GEE. There goes my D I had in com law
-
lolwut?!
You are expected to write more than 2pages?!
I only wrote 1.5 pages for each question LOL

Can't remember if I needed another one for Bus. Law...
-
