Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls.
"And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am."
- Last Goodbye by Jeff Buckley
Uttjent by Myrkgrav - Metal/RockMan, I love Myrkgrav so damn much. The lyrics are about local Norwegian folklore, so I'm really salty that I don't speak the language, because it'd be nice to hear.
Omg I see so much alternative/rock music above and then there's me currently listening to EDM/hip pop/K-pop since Black Pink just had a comeback.
These are my two favourite songs from their recent mini-album but tbh, all their songs are legitimately good!
My favourite part of the music video is when Jisoo (the one wearing the pink-haired wig) walks past people taking pictures of her mural but when she falls, all of them turn their phones into gun-like phone cases, pointing towards her and wearing balaclavas. It kinda shows how when celebrities make one mistake, people can use that against them and ruin their career in one go- and they tend to do that anonymously (aka, via social media).
As for Forever Young, it's a lot more pop-y but it really fits with the lyrics- fun, summery and youthful.

Mark Ronson - upton funk ft by bruno mar (released in 2014 though)If you see most of the songs that I've posted in this thread- then I'd be in trouble if old music wasn't normal! :-[
Is it normal to still listen to old songs ? :P
Young Dumb & Broke by Khalid because that's exactly what I amKhalid is so good. These are some of my favourites from him (among others!).
I've been following Orla Gartland for probably 8 years or so, I reckon. She started just posting random YouTube covers that had practically no hits - now she's absolutely smsmmmmmmasshing it. This is her latest song. It's a bit different to older stuff but I think some people here would enjoy it.
I really love her haha.
Oh, Nick! Weird coincidence - I was just listening to 'I Go Crazy - Acoustic' about half an hour ago! 0.o Spooky.
Currently smashing out some Golden Oldies too:Slice of Heaven - Dave DobbynSunglasses at Night - Corey HartStand by Me - Ben E. KingDon't Stop Me Now - Queen
(I Just) Died in Your Arms by Cutting Crew just came on and I'm almost crying. Is anyone else such a sucker for '80s bangers?
How did you come across Orla Gartland?Oh, you know, long story. Something to do with asking you about your favourite musical artists when we were first introduced haha. I've been following her, Josh Pyke and occasionally the Avett Brothers ever since. How does it feel to be an influence on my musical taste?

Finally got around to buying Orla Gartland's Roots album after listening to it for a year on Spotify haha!
Love this song:
One of my favourite artists. I listen to them on Spotify way too much. They've only released one EP, but they're working on a new album right now. Also, they sent me free stickers all the way from Italy, so shoutout :D If you like Depeche Mode, this is your jam:Yahs Cahlahb thaht's a good bahnd <3
I haven't actually! I haven't seen any new movies since Love, Simon come out in April aha :')@Insanipi have you seen Mama Mia 2 recently by any chance? ;D
I have been singing this song for 2 whole days, musically it is amazing, and really catchy! The original by ABBA is really good as well, of course. I've also been going on a binge of other ABBA songs.
I haven't actually! I haven't seen any new movies since Love, Simon come out in April aha :')Well I can highly recommend it! Yes I agree, so many classics and they have such a wide variety of awesome songs
ABBA is truly one of my favourite bands to jam along too though! <3 ;D
Do people still remember this song -
I remember first hearing this when I was 6 maybe? Now listening to this at 17, I just realised those lyrics are actually goddamn scary.

Not sure if we're allowed to reply to specific posts in this thread, so apologies if this shouldn't be here.Definitely allowed to to respond and you are encouraged to do so! :)
@Ducc I think relapse is super underrated, it was shit on a lot (even by eminem himself) for things like poor hooks, the accent, and going back to a more horrorcore sound, but none of those things I find as particular downsides (I actually enjoy at least 50% of the hooks, and none of them I particularly dislike), and it has some of his most crazy rhyming and rapping ever.

100% encouraged!!! :)Speaking of study music, I love listening to Pandora Journey, because there are no lyrics and I find it very motivating. This is the one I am listening to now:
Whilst I'm studying:
Vertigo by Khalid. Honestly its such a good song. Should give it a listenJust had a listen to this, it was really interesting! Going to go have a look at more of his stuff now, thanks!

I listen to a lot of mixes by Arctic Empire; some have lyrics, some don't. But chillstep and classical are the main study mixes I listen to! (It's labelled as sad, but I see it as just intense study music. Although I do tend to revert to these things when I'm sad haha) :))

currently obsessed with this, especially the F#5:
Ummm. I only discovered the soundtrack a week ago. So I am being a Normie and my favourites are Waving Through a Window and You Will Be Found.
I found it because for some reason You Will Be Found autoplayed on my spotify, and I literally just froze thinking "wtf is this, it's amazing". I wasn't even paying attention to the music it was for the background.
Why Am I Like This by Orla

On the topic of Orla!I heard it from a woman on the internet

I'm currently listening to Sara Bareilles' rendition of "She Used to Be Mine" from Waitress (the musical) which is honestly one of my most favourite songs at the moment - this song, its lyrics and Sara's passion while singing it has helped me through so many of the highs and lows in my life and I'm not sure where I would be without listening to the comfort of music. So I'm really grateful that music exists <3
I'm currently listening to this too! Waitress really is a great show and everything about this song just comes together (like sugar, butter, flour) :D
Also am a huge fan of Waitress ! It is so underrated and I wish it got way more hype than it currently does. I also love Sara Bareilles' music in general so super pumped to see some more admirers here on the forums of her work ;D
I'm currently listening to a lot of Owl City and taking multiple trips and detours down memory lane! This is my favourite song :D
Erase Me - Main by Kid CudiErase Me is so good!
Swim Good by Frank Ocean
Black and Gold by Sam Sparro
Erase Me is so good!

Edit: sorry didn't see your message TD! Mine is saying playback error which might be because of my pretty crap internet.
Sorry for the (almost) double post. Love this Orla cover!
Let's see if the error message goes away.
CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST - Tyler, The CreatorIt's been fun over the first few listens. Tyler is definitely forming one of the best active discographies.
What are your favourite tracks so far?
MANIFESTO and SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE for now; my favourite tracks on an album tend to change from time to time :)Right now it is MANIFESTO for me, definitely been the one I've listened to the most

Same, what are your early thoughts on it?I'd rate it a solid 9/10, but I do think I enjoyed TPAB slightly more.
