Title: Easy level 3 science elective? And which physiology subjects for major?
Post by: coconut1234 on November 24, 2018, 03:12:32 pm
Hey everyone,

I am going into 3rd year science majoring in physiology at unimelb, but I'm unsure on what cores to do after seeing mixed reviews!!
So far I am thinking:

SUMMER
Breadth

SEM 1
PHYS30005 Muscle and Exercise Physiology
and/or
NEUR30002 Neurophysiology: Neurons and circuits
and/or
BIOL30001 Reproductive Physiology
+ Science elective

The reproductive physiology looks really interesting to me from the handbook and looking at summary notes, however from the subject reviews it seems to be quite difficult to do well in. The same goes for Muscle and exercise physiology. Anyone have any views on these subjects?? Im super stuck and can't make up my mind!

SEM 2
PHYS30001 Cardiovascular Health: Genes & Hormones
PHYS30008 Frontiers in Physiology
+ Science elective
+ breadth (or during winter)

I also need 1 or 2 science electives, ideally something with a smallish workload that is relatively easy to do well in? any suggestions?
