Do we need to submit it to Turnitin for plagiarism detection? ;)I'd be surprised if Rui says no :P

Do we have to play our games in order or can we play whoever if they are available?Yup! We're playing in any order we choose! :)
Edit: I just checked the spreadsheet and it looks like the latter option is in play. Whoever wants a game this morning, add me on chess.com (Specter_97) im down for any time control except above 30 minutes cos i otherwise i get bored and just go do stuff around my house and i forget im in game.
Qazser and specter both played a4 in the opening -- why is this? Is this a traditional opening? What does it achieve? Not sure for Specter because I've never seen that line before (I was playing a pretty famous opening)
Qazser and specter both played a4 in the opening -- why is this? Is this a traditional opening? What does it achieve? It's said that if you play a4, you can set the game up for victory. But, at the same time, there are many possibilities which can occur after the first move is played, and so not really sure how effective it actually is. Pretty rare seeing this move played first -- usually people tend to control the center. There's a link here

Rui, are you interested in beating me right now?Jumping to conclusions pretty quickly...
Okay guys
Quarter-finals rules are up. Games: (white v.s. black)
RuiAce v.s. TheCommando
Joseph41 v.s. Specter
qaszer v.s. Happy Physics Land
brenden v.s. insanipi
One week to have just one game; sounds more lenient than the round robin I'd say :P
Please play your games by Wednesday 21 Dec. at 1:00 PM
Did the other semi-final games ever get played??
