Title: Question about results
Post by: EOZZ on December 11, 2018, 12:12:43 pm
This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if your school also gets access to your study scores and ATAR at 7am on Friday? If not when do they find out students marks?
I'm confused if they do because my teachers have all asked to tell them how I went, as if they don't find out themselves,

Any insight is appreciated

I believe the school gets them potentially even the day before you, in preparation to assist with post-ATAR careers counselling. As you'd imagine, this is a vital part of the transition for Y12's.

Whether or not your actual class teacher gets them, is another story.

Potentially outdated information but it used to be that the careers people will get them the day beforehand but they can’t tell your classroom teachers without your permission (found this out from looking through old VCAA and VTAC documents - I believe this was from a 2011 thing so may not be accurate anymore)

Headmasters/Principals get the information a day early as well as specific people within the school.

Your teachers will get a list with the study scores of everyone in their class. This won't necessarily happen on the day though, but usually within a week.
