Title: 'Politically motivated violence' a euphemism for 'terrorism'?
Post by: dmitridr on December 22, 2014, 01:19:49 pm
Tony Abbott stated regarding the recent Sydney Siege: 'Politically motivated violence'... is this a euphemism for 'terrorism'? I think so.

Hint: this is a VERY GOOD EXAMPLE to include in essays on euphemisms next year.

See the full video here, and include this in your quotations list! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHECetJR7uI

Can you spot any other euphemisms or unusual linguistic features in his speech?
