Title: Important information regarding results discussion
Post by: Aaron on June 23, 2016, 12:37:11 am
Hi everyone,

Please be advised that before posting in the results discussion, you should read the following:

1. Result threads are for results and result related discussions only

Discussions in the result threads should fall under the 'results' category in some way. If you have a question about universities in general, please feel free to find your university board (Victorian Universities | NSW Universities) and post it there instead.

2. If you don't want to see it, don't view it

Publishing of results has been a long standing 'tradition' of ATARNotes, and as such, can be an extremely sensitive topic. If you don't want to publish your results, don't. If you don't want to view the achievements of other students (which may or may not be 'higher' than yours), don't. No-one is forcing you to view these threads.

3. Bullying, put-downs or negative comments will not be tolerated

This is written as a precaution and as a warning to any troll who is considering posting a negative or inappropriate comment in regards to results or particular users. We will not tolerate any flaming, bullying, or any negative behaviour from any user. Every user on this forum has the right to post and celebrate their achievements. Please report or bring the post to the attention of a mod if you feel it should be looked at further.

4. Where is my university results thread? I want to post my results!

If you cannot find a thread for your university, feel free to create one and start the conversation :)

5. Finished your unit, but haven't posted a review? Please help us!

ATARNotes is an educational forum, which primarily serves Year 11 and 12 students... most of which will be attending university at some point in their future, and may end up completing the exact same course as you! Help them out by posting subject reviews for the units you have just completed. Remember that reviews are public, and this means ANYONE can see them. Find your subject review thread in your respective university board (click: Victorian Universities | NSW Universities) and post!

As always, good luck to everyone and please.... your scores are to be celebrated (whatever the result), and we're here to do that. You deserve your moment of glory.

Mods, feel free to append/make changes to this thread as you see fit.

BUMP: A reminder regarding results discussion

Thanks to everyone who has understood the following points when commenting in the result threads.

This bump is just a reminder that all posts in the result threads must relate to results in some way. Discussions that do not meet this criteria should be placed in the university board (e.g. opinions/review of a subject, how hard was the subject etc etc).

Discussions that divert from results may be split and moved to the respective university board (or removed if this cannot be possible). Moderators will use discretion when deciding whether or not to split/move a discussion. To avoid this, please consider whether your post discusses results or not and ensure that you post in the right area :)

If you notice a discussion going on that does not meet the 'results' criteria, please report so that a moderator can review what is going on.

Thanks once again, and good luck with all of your results.  :)
