Title: GAMSAT Physics worries
Post by: Asteriskkk on February 10, 2017, 12:40:11 am
Ok, well I found out that Physics is a part of GAMSAT Section 3 and I am about to start first-year at UoM in BSc. I want to take some form of Physics learning having never done any Physics at a VCE level but only in Year 10. I also read reviews at UoM that Physics: Fundamentals is looking pretty bad in terms of lecturers and I really don't want to choose Physics, so is it possible to just self-learn the Physics syllabus in GAMSAT through a Year 12 or 11 textbook?

Yes, it's possible to self-learn it, but you'll need to be quite disciplined in order to do so. There are many success stories of people coming from NSBs (non-science backgrounds) and still doing well in SIII, but you can't expect the exam to always explain the concepts that you need to know.
