Hey there,

I don't know anything about the units on offer at UNSW, but the prerequisite knowledge given by ACER is: first year biology, first year chemistry, and year 12 physics. Most universities should have an introductory unit that covers each of these areas, so I expect that if you search around there would be something that suits (although your course structure would dictate whether you can actually take these units). That being said, you don't necessarily have to formally study these subjects, many GAMSAT sitters find they can get by studying over the holidays using online resources (e.g. Khan Academy) and a good university-level textbook for each subject area.

Hope that helps :)

The science section isn't really about your knowledge in science, so much as your ability to work through science. I know they tell you that a lot comes from first year bio, then a bit from first year chem anda  bit from year 12 physics, but you don't need an in-depth knowledge of these fields to do well; just a superficial knowledge.
