So i have literally had a teacher said to me that i have a quirky writing style. Very conversational and not very formal. So i've tried to improve this with practice essay questions.
However i still find myself getting stuck on an idea that i've decided to focus on in the essay and the structure not being very "flowy".
So how can i improve on this?

Use a PETAL paragraph structure (point, evidence, technique, analysis, link) might have to go PETAETAL, E, T, A can be interchangeable as you want to imbed your quotes in your paragraph, also read lots of good essays, you can find them here or on BOS. They can be unrelated to your topic but look at them for reference on form and structure.
