Title: EAS - Personal Illness
Post by: Natasack on August 26, 2020, 03:56:19 pm
If I apply for EAS claiming a personal illness (not a disability)  as a disadvantage,  would the uni know what type of disadvantage I am claiming? I am worried that it may negatively impact my chances of getting into a health related degree?

Hi!

I'm not familiar with EAS but I was able to find this

Quote from: UAC
If you have a disability or an ongoing illness that may disadvantage you during your studies, we encourage you to include this information in your application. Any information you provide will not affect your application for admission; it will be seen only by disability services staff and will help the institution meet your education needs should you be offered a place in one of their courses.

I hope this helps!

No worries - I gave the link in the previous post but I'll chuck it here too in case embedding made it too easy to miss: https://www.uac.edu.au/current-applicants/if-you-have-a-disability

I originally found the link at the bottom of the EAS page
