Title: Safe Marks
Post by: homeworkisapotato on October 05, 2020, 01:43:23 pm
Hey!! I'm super nervous for the GAT and I was wondering what would a safe mark be for each mc out of 35? I have no idea what the weighting is for Bio.

Thank you!!

Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question, however, in no way does the GAT contribute to your study score. The GAT will be used to moderate your study score, which is a completely different thing than having a weighted contribution. I think it is extremely unlikely that the GAT will moderate your study score down, it will either stay the same or go up by a bit, so don't worry too much about it.

Thank you so much! I thought that if the exams don't run then VCAA will use the GAT instead so I was very nervous :)

This is true, they will, but at this point it seems unlikely that exams won't run. If you can't go to your exam, then the GAT will be used to derive an exam score. However, you don't need to worry; just do your best :)
