Title: Trials vs HSC papers?
Post by: BakerDad12 on October 22, 2020, 01:29:28 pm
Hey guys, I know this is a classic question that has been asked many times before but this is a slightly different scenario. Because the old syllabus HSC papers don't follow the same structure/content as ours, but the 2020 trial papers do, I'm unsure of which papers to do timed for this final stretch. However, I've heard that the trial paper questions are different to the HSC style questions.

What do you think?

I have done about 15 HSC trail papers for Maths (including Trails), my teacher advises to do them, due to the new syllabus.
But if you know your Maths well, then past papers are good, as long as you don't do questions that aren't in the new syllabus.

Thanks for the response! How do the trial papers compare to the HSC papers, do you think? e.g. What do you think is a good mark for a trial paper, say Sydney Boys? (for 2U).
