Title: is a 89 atar unachievable for me?
Post by: Isabellaaaaz on November 21, 2021, 08:43:16 pm
hello everyone, i am currently doing the hsc exams and i want an atar for 89 ( need for university ),87 or 84. these were my internal ranks for my courses.

advanced English: 1st
Legal studies: 1st
standard 2 math: 2nd
physics: 2nd
business: 5th
hospitality: 1st

so far i have had my English, math, and legal exams and for legal and English i feel like I failed big time and i messed up alot in the exams. If i were to do good ~90+ in hospo and business and okay in physics could i possibly still get a 89 atar?? my school is also very low ranking ( less than 400 i think im not sure ). i feel like there is no point anymore haha.

The best thing you can do right now is to keep going at whatever exams you have left; even though it's easy for me to say, there's not a lot of point stressing about things you've already done and/or things you can't control. It looks like you're doing well enough for yourself regardless, and I'd say your self-assessment is about right too, give or take a few factors like cohort performance and things we don't know like your external marks.

Good luck!
