Title: Bachelor of biomedicine opportunities
Post by: Golgi Apparatus on December 18, 2021, 03:48:19 pm
Hi,
I’m considering biomedicine at Melbourne next year, but I’m also thinking about biomed scholars program and science - advanced (research) at Monash because of the extra opportunities like scholarships, mentoring, networking and research projects. I’m wondering if anyone has had similar opportunities at Melbourne.
If there are such opportunities, how hard are they to get? Monash suggests that these are guaranteed as a part of the course, but Melbourne doesn’t, so I’m guessing they’re quite competitive?

Anyone?

I’m sorry to bump this, I’m getting a bit desperate for advice with change of preference closing tomorrow.

Sorry I have absolutely no experience in the area and I know preferences closed a couple of hours ago. What did you end up deciding and why? ;D

I ended up choosing Melbourne biomed, mostly because it’s easier to get to and Melbourne felt more inviting to me than Monash. I’m not sure if it’s the best choice for me, but I think I’d be happy in any of those courses.
