Title: Required study score for prerequisite subjects?
Post by: kaptain_awesome on January 08, 2009, 03:15:28 pm
Hello.

When a course description states something like:

Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – English (any) and one of mathematical methods (either) or specialist mathematics.

Is there a minimum score required? Hypothetically If I complete methods but only got a SS of 10, have I still met that requirement?

If it makes any difference this is for the Engineering-Electronic/Computer Science double degree.

Thanks.

Yeah, there's no specific SS requirement, you just had to have completed the subject.

You sure? Seems kinda odd though dont you think? I mean I could have taken up methods, not really tried, gotten a low score, let it become my 6th subject and still meet the requirements for what I take is a very maths heavy course.

@ell: Good luck with Software Engineering by the way, I was tossing up between that and the double degree I finally chose, the year of industry experience and the project in the final year sound pretty awesome. Why did you choose RMIT out of curiosity, I mean with your ENTER you could have pretty much chosen any uni.

This is true, yet if in a middle band situation they may choose someone who obtained a higher ss in the prerequisite subject. Well that's what I'm assuming
