I thought up till now I had seen some pretty amazing people, but check out this guy - Doctor Pi.

Mr. Slyusarchuk is known for his hypnotic skills as well. He demonstrated the ability to read and control the thoughts of another person in many ways, including:

    * he was able to correctly spell out the number of mobile phone of a person based on reading the person's thoughts

Imagine what a breakthrough it would be for humanity if he were able to publish his methodologies! Apparently they are looking into building a research centre to study them.

If someone can be hypnotized to lift 2000kg then surely they could be hypnotized to increase their mental abilities?

Hmmm, it says that he performed these at a university and they have not been debunked yet. Of course that's if wikipedia is to be trusted... the article has cited what looks to be Russian news websites but google translator can only do so much...
Anyone here speak Russian?

I remember Derren Brown succesfully completing similar hypnosis experiments, though less ambitious than these.
