Hi all.
I'm just wondering what study score I would get for English in these different scenarios. I know it's obviously nearly impossible to get it accurate, but an estimate is still good.
By the way, all my SAC marks have been high A's or A+'s

Scenario 1:
Text Response 1: 8/10
Text Response 2: 8/10
Analysis: 8/10
P.O.V: 8/10

Scenario 2:
Text Response 1: 9/10
Text Response 2: 8/10
Analysis: 9/10
P.O.V: 9/10

Scenario 3:
Text Response 1: 8/10
Text Response 2: 7/10
Analysis: 9/10
P.O.V: 9/10

Thanks all.

Scenarios 1 and 3: 41 - 42

Scenario 2: 43 - 45 maybe? not quite sure

Scenario 1 and 3 are 96 out of 120. cut off for A+ is 93 (well last year). A+ represents top 7% in english. a 40+ study score is top 8%. therefore.. im guessing those scores

Scenario 2 is 104 out of 120. significantly higher than the other scenarios. but i would thiiiink probably not better than 45. would that be about right? or could it be like 46 too im not really sure

Weird. I just noticed that A+ for english is top 7%, yet 40 is top 8%. Therefore, given decent SAC marks, a 7.75 'scraping' A+ average would get you in the 40s..

yep i just noticed last nite or something looking at the grade distribution.. id always thought for some reason that it was top 10% for A+ and therefore you could get scores in the 30s with A+s but apparently not! which makes me feel MUCH better. i pretty much thought you had to get 10s and 9s for anything above 40. but clearly not at all! which helps, seeing as they seem impossibly hard to get :(

Would I have to get 10s for all my essays to get a 50? Or can a 9 or two still get me there .... yes I'm aiming high, I always do, that's why I'm disappointed so often :P

you could probably get a 9 in either the pov or lang analysis, but getting a 9 in a text essay could be cutting it fine, since weighted twice the amount of the 2 writing tasks. but i dont know. possibly? if you got a 10 from one examiner and a 9 from the other, that'd be ok id say. but who knows seriously
